Foot-It experience 2014: a great birding 'competition' on your doorstep, for anyone

I was so pleased to have found the Foot-It blog in time to join in this year. I have been looking to further my enjoyment and reasons to enjoy bird watching and this was an ideal first step in the right direction. The idea of Foot-It is, within the month of January, to count the number of birds seen within a walk of your house. I had no idea how many birds I might encounter, and knew that my commitments to this would only come from dog walks within the surrounding fields of my local village, East Linton, here in East Lothian, SE Scotland. I am about five miles from the sea, with a small local river and arable fields. I regularly feed the birds in my garden so I could get 5-6 or so ticks from the there, then the dog walks may bring in a dozen or so more. I never expected 33 ticks in all with a goal of 50 plucked out of the air. I don't think I am in danger of becoming obsessed with my list but who knows .....
Thank you Foot-It I had a great time, can't wait till next year.

My list is:
Blackbird
Black-headed Gull
Blue Tit
Bullfinch
